GreedLearning

Turn away from greed learning. Turn toward humanity.

Your mind was not created to grow shareholder value. It was created to love, to build, to heal, and to serve.

Right now, in lecture halls and high school classrooms across this country and around the world, a quiet recruitment is underway. You are being told that the highest use of your one precious intellect is to help four or five trillion-dollar technology vendors build artificial general intelligence — machines designed to replace 30 to 40 trillion dollars of human cognitive labour, to replace you, your parents, your neighbours, your teachers — so that the wealth of the world may be concentrated into fewer hands than at any time in human history.

They call it innovation. They call it inevitability. They call it the future.

We call it what it is: greed learning.

And we are here — students, parents, veterans of Silicon Valley, people of faith and people of conscience — to say to every young person standing at the threshold of their education:

You do not have to build their machine. You can build a better world instead.

This site exists to ask you three questions

  1. Who benefits from what you are being taught to want?

  2. What will you tell your children you did when the billionaires came for the dignity of human work?

  3. What could your mind do if it were devoted to humanity instead of greed?
