Who we are
The people asking, and what they are asking from.
This site asks you to weigh a career against a conscience, which is a great deal to ask of a stranger. So it is worth saying plainly who is asking, and what they are asking from.
Neither of the people below is writing from outside the institutions this site challenges. One spent three decades in the technology industry, including a period inside one of the companies now building the machine. The other spent decades inside the church and the military, and now sits with the dying in the poorest state in the country. Both are describing something they helped build and then had to unlearn.
